Last week, I had some bananas that had gotten too ripe for eating on their own.
I'm always happy to have a few overripe bananas because it's a good excuse to make banana bread. I mean, it would be wasteful to just throw out that fruit we paid good money for, right?
So the search for paleo banana bread began.
And boy, did I find a good one. I thought Lily was going to eat the whole loaf!

I don't know if you're like me, but a slice of warm banana bread just makes me happy.
I think maybe it reminds me of my Mamaw Askew, who made the best banana bread ever. In fact, I added a cup of pecans to this recipe because that's the way Mamaw always made it.
Have I made your mouth water yet?
Well, fret no more. Click here for the recipe then get in your kitchen and get to baking!
I think I am the one person on Earth who doesn't like banana bread. I don't like bananas so maybe that has something to do with it ;)
ReplyDeleteNow pumpkin bread, mmmmmmmmmm!
Guess what? I've got a pumpkin bread recipe for you if you're interested. :)
DeleteI am not a fan of bananas, but banana bread - now you're speaking my language! My family always made it with nuts (which I can't have) so am excited about this. It could be my first Paleo recipe!
ReplyDeleteYou make me laugh - most people would not think of eating banana bread as "doing paleo". :) But hey - it's a start!
DeleteAs with the other ladies, I don't do bananas "in the raw", but put anything in bread form and I'm all over it!
DeleteGirl, you witnessed my first attempt at drinking vegetables -- with me it is baby steps!! haha!!
Hi Allie! Guess what? We have something else in common! ^^ The thought of banana bread makes my stomach turn!
ReplyDeleteBut the hubs and the Little Miss? I think they're gonna like this recipe... a lot.
Seem like I have a vague memory of you being a banana hater. I keep forgetting to send you that gluten free/soy free/dairy free waffle recipe that's so yummy. Going to get it now! I'll post it to your Facebook wall.
